Jigsaw Specialist Recruitment is working with a leading not for profit organisation who have a commitment to providing affordable and high-quality housing solutions to communities across the South. Due to maternity leave we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our client’s team as a Finance Officer. As a Finance Officer, you will work closely with the finance team to manage financial transactions, prepare reports, and contribute to the overall finance team. This is a hybrid position, with an occasional requirement to travel to our clients site in Wells, Somerset.
Financial Record Keeping
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
Process and record financial transactions in accordance with established procedures.
Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets.
Track expenses and identify variances, providing timely reports to management.
Prepare financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and accounting standards.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
Reconcile vendor and customer accounts regularly.
Assist in the preparation for internal and external audits.
Provide necessary documentation and support during audits.
Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making.
Identify areas for cost savings and process improvements.
Proven experience in finance or accounting roles.
Knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
Strong proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
