Systems Engineer – Full Time, Temp to Perm Position

About the Role: As a Systems Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Service Desk Team, providing technical support and acting as an escalation point for junior colleagues under the guidance of the Service Desk Manager. This role involves both reactive and proactive second/third line technical support, ensuring the smooth operation of IT services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support a variety of IT services, including Windows Server, Windows 11, MacOS, Microsoft Teams, Mobile devices, BYOD, Office 365, Print Management, Active Directory, and Azure/EntraID.
  • Resolve escalated technical tickets with efficiency and precision.
  • Collaborate with the Service Desk Manager to maintain a high level of service delivery.

What You’ll Enjoy:

  • Generous annual leave: 6.6 weeks (includes Bank Holidays), rising to 7.6 weeks after 5 years’ service.
  • Core working hours: Monday to Thursday (08:30 – 17:00), Friday (08:30 – 16:30).
  • On-site office-based role.

Skills and Experience Required: To excel in this role, you should have:

  • Two or more years’ experience in an IT Support role.
  • Proven ability to resolve escalated technical tickets.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
  • Consistent customer service skills.
  • Bonus: Experience working in an IT ServiceDesk (not essential).
