Financial Accountant – Job Filled

We are delighted to be working with this established and reputable company based in Blandford who are looking at recruiting a Financial Accountant. The role will be responsible for managing the financial accounting and reporting activities within the organisation. This includes supporting the Financial Controller in the preparation of group accounts, management accounts, statutory accounts, VAT returns, month-end, period-end, year-end processes, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

The Financial Accountant reports directly to the Financial Controller and collaborates with other teams to support financial decision-making and ensure accurate financial reporting.


  • Professional qualification such as ACA or ACCA is preferred.
  • Extensive experience in financial accounting, group accounting, and financial reporting.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards (e.g., FRS102).
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
  • Strong understanding of VAT regulations and experience in preparing VAT returns.
  • Excellent knowledge of month-end, period-end, and year-end closing procedures.
  • Ability to analyse complex financial data.
