Quality Assurance Engineer – Poole – Competitive salary & benefits

Our client is a global engineering company with offices based in Poole, Dorset. They are looking to recruit an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer.

The Quality Engineer is required to support the Quality Assurance team to ensure that quality standards and procedures are met and aligned with legislation, standards and customer specifications.

The Quality Engineer ensures that QA related requirements within bids are fully understood and communicated to relevant parties within the business. When the bid transfers to a contract, the Quality Engineer ensures relevant actions are implemented, reviewed and managed to completion to make sure full compliance to customer requirements is achieved.

PPAP (Production Part Approval Process), Control Plans, Inspection & Test Plans (ITP) and other Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) related activities play a significant part in this role.

Essential Criteria

  • 4 GCSEs including grade C or above in English and Maths or equivalent qualification or experience.
  • ISO9001 Lead Assessor qualification.
  • Significant demonstrable experience in a Quality Assurance related role within a highly regulated manufacturing organisation (eg Nuclear, Aerospace, Medical etc).
  • Demonstrable experience in arranging and leading customer and regulatory body assessments.
  • Demonstrable experience in conducting internal audits and supplier audits.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the business and work directly with customers, suppliers and regulatory bodies.
  • Experience in working with problem solving methodologies such as 8D and DMAIC.
  • Experience in working with APQP related elements such as PPAP, Control Plans, DFMEA, PFMEA.
  • Excellent communication skills, with experience in presenting to all levels of the business.
