Senior Web Developer – Bournemouth – Hybrid working

Overview

Our client, a highly recognisable, leading local employer are looking for a Senior Web Developer to join their busy IT function. The web development team are responsible for the development, configuration, integration and support of the information systems, including in-house developed applications. This will pprimarily a back-end developer role where you will lead on web development projects and API based integration. There may also be times when front-end developer work is also required, so a well-rounded developer would have an advantage.

As the ideal candidate you will have:

• Extensive experience working with HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Strong Node.js and JavaScript programming experience
• Track record of developing and building database-driven web applications using Node.js
• Experience consuming and building web services and restful APIs (JSON)
• Strong database knowledge and SQL skills
• Passionate about creating and delivering high-quality code
• Everyday experience working with Git source control
• Understanding of architectural patterns and practices
• Project Management skills
• Confident training and mentoring colleagues
